An aware child requires an aware teacher.

In preparation for my lecture on conscious communication, I presented my son with the elements that affect effective communication. My son's reaction was: "mom, this is what teachers should learn!". After all, imparting knowledge is not only about words, it also includes body language, gestures, all non-verbal communication, and with it an endless stream of flowing emotions that children intuitively read.

So much depends on the teacher, whether he narrates with passion, whether he performs the profession with love or with compulsion, all this is felt by our kids. Whether they assimilate knowledge depends a great deal on the way it is served. We like to be served a meal in a pleasant way, this causes us to take it into our bodies with pleasure, we don't want to throw anything into ourselves.... Identical is the case with knowledge, served in a way, a crude way, which does not encourage, wears us out, causes a reaction of rejection.

Conscious parenting requires a lot from the parent, but it gives peace of mind that the child will cope especially in such challenging times, where we are constantly subjected to manipulation, conscious but often also unconscious, in which we manipulate each other through psychological mechanisms unleashed by the system.

The conscious child stops taking for granted any authority, including the teacher. The child perceives and feels basic deficiencies in his competence. It's not about knowledge alone, and the powerful competency of being a teacher, coach, guide, any leader, whether in the home or professional environment requires the acquisition of the basic competence of communication, which is the basis of teaching.

My sons started their education in another school, in a fourth language, and it's not another language that's the challenge, it's taking content from people who can't convey new information in the right way. As a result, some teachers all too often shift the responsibility for their ineffectiveness to the children, because that's the easiest way to do it, someone has to be blamed, because feeling guilty themselves is too aggravating. And children, like an empty bag, pure, innocent, devoid of the ability to fend off an attack, everything unnecessary is thrown at them by older people, because they seemingly ex officio to superior people, authorities. Children are curious about the new, it's our human nature, we like to learn, to know the new, to constantly grow.

It would be useful to teach children to be observers of what is around them, to be skillful at spotting attempts to harm them, to know how to set boundaries and communicate this loudly to those they trust, namely their parents. As well as that they recognize the support and professionalism they are dealing with.

For years I was led by the idea that older, better-educated people, with higher titles, better labels, were my authorities, which is absolutely not true! I infinitely absorbed like a sponge the content put out by them. I and many of us have been hurt by others, teachers, parents, bosses, leaders, their lack of competence, vanity and sometimes ego. The result is the clipping of our wings, the breaking of our self-confidence, which accounts for the ability to create our own lives. It is a long way to go to realize all this and then work through it, to release it from ourselves, to start living again on our own terms and not the guidelines set by others.

Educating requires responsibility, especially for children, who are vulnerable and trust infinitely. Fortunately, we seem to have closed this challenging era and no one seems to say anymore that fish and children have no voice, the consequences of spreading this maxim are very severe.

The school, where our children spend so many hours most parts of the year, should be a space of positive conditions in which they are free to grow. After all, it is the environment, like soil and water for a plant, that creates who we are. Our brain is able to function properly and take in knowledge, even huge amounts, but only when we are calm, unintimidated. When we have peace within us a natural joy is released, and from it the creativity and will to act, which is insanely important for development, is a pure energy bomb. Let's not allow this to suffocate, this natural, healthy joy, from which flows the high level of our creativity. Let's educate future generations consciously because this will allow them to Champion to be at the forefront of world innovation in any field in culture, sports or business.

Keep an eye on it.
